Beyond Shakespeare is about looking forward, using the experience and knowledge gained to date to help us imagine how the forces that drove Shakespeare might manifest themselves, both now and in the future.
This is done by initially turning our backs on the world of Shakespeare - it sounds counterproductive given our overall aims, but it is in fact essential if we are to achieve our objective.
